The Burned Log is a stool made from a hollowed-out tree trunk with a brass seat and base. The stool represents the burning of tree trunks. 

In some cases, remnants of tree trunks are burned out instead of being dug up. This process is now represented in this piece of furniture. 

The tree trunk is charred and varnished, while the seat is made of brushed brass.
